Review/Description: Finding a Brigham Young golf bag like the one pictured here should not be too difficult of a task but the real challenge has to do with deciding what is in some ways quite literally the best fit when it comes to a BYU Cougars golf bag. The issue specific to this particular school with regards to selection is that the item pictured above which is the most readily available is principally designed to be used when riding in a golf cart and is subsequently called a BYU cart golf bag for obvious reasons. Essentially many of the features of this particular item were engineered with the cart riding golfer in mind. Had this item been designed for walkers there would be a number of changes including some sort of dual strap for a more even weight distribution while carrying golf clubs. Another perhaps obvious distinction between walking and cart options has to do with weight were walking bags occasionally weigh under five pounds when completely empty. Walking choices almost always have the kickstand feature that is absent from this item. The redeeming qualities that come with a bulkier heavier cart bag include in this case fourteen dividers which are used primarily for organization by some golfers whereas other players predominately use these for club safety in terms of keeping expensive irons and woods (like the driver) more safe than if there were not dividers. There is a removable hood which is used for keeping rain off the top of the Cougars golf bag and that can be zipped on or completely removed when there is no chance of rain in the forecast. For someone looking for a BYU Cougars golf bag the lack of walking bag options may ultimately make their decision about if having the school logos (of which there are eight BYU logos on this item) on a cart bag is more important to a walker than merely having a BYU colored bag without logos that had been designed for walking eighteen holes.
