The pockets are securely closed with a combination of velcro and zippers to ensure that valuable contents don't fall out while walking down a fairway or even worse, while walking through the rough. It is important to keep valuable items in the zippered compartments. These valuable items include things like car keys, cell phone (which should be turned off - or at least the ringer so as not to disturb other golfers on the course), wallet (if it is uncomfortable to have in your back pocket while playing, and possibly a watch. Loose fitting watches can cause distractions during both the back swing and follow through of a golf shot and should therefore be taken off, especially before important shots out of bunkers and sand traps. An Alabama golf bag as top of the line or premium (depending on how you want to phrase it) and durable as this one should be used for years.
