Review/Description: An Illinois golf bag like the one pictured above has a lot of unique features that make it worth considering when deciding between many similar items. This is a U of I golf bag primarily made for using with a golf cart. As such there aren't features similar to the selection that is made with the person who walks a golf course in mind. A University of Illinois Illini golf bag made for someone that primarily walks golf courses usually has a stand system so that golfers can set their bag down on the bottom and a couple of usually plastic legs will pop out from the base so that the item comfortably rests at an angle about waist high. Once a Illinois golfbag with a stand is positioned on the stand the golfer can select his or her clubs. The club selection depends on largely on the distance that a player wants to hit a golf ball to reach his or her target. The target is not always the green. Sometime on longer holes like par fives players need to strategically hit golf shots that put them in the best position to score well (like a par) while avoiding hazards like sand traps (commonly referred to as bunkers) an water hazards. Woods (which aren't made out of wood) are usually used for tee shots and the longest shots. Although optimal off of the tee more advanced players can successfully play them off the fairway. Irons are the only clubs that should be used in the rough. This U of Illinois golf bag has a durable nylon finish that keeps the bag in good shape over time and it should last for years. There are fourteen individual dividers that keep golf clubs separate from each other when they are resting in the storage area. The dividers keep expensive irons like Taylor Made clubs and Ping golf clubs from hitting each other and doing damage to graphite shafts and even to the rubber grips on nice golf clubs. There are six pockets on this Illini golf bag that can be used to store a number of items related to a day at the golf course. Among the many items are golf balls, tees for teeing off, ball markers for putting on greens, golf hats, perhaps a jacket or windbreaker if there is a large enough zippered pocket available. A lot of golfers like to keep their golf shoes in their Illinois golf bag when they are not playing and wearing the shoes. This makes sense because it keeps the shoes from being lost or misplaced. Generally when a golfer gets to the course he's playing at that day he'll change shoes either in the locker room or while sitting on the opened trunk area of his car. This process includes leaving the regular shoes in the trunk and wearing the special cleated golf shoes onto the course and specifically the first tee box or driving range or putting green if there is time. The U of Illinois Illini golf bag pictured above has an umbrella holder for inclement weather that may rush onto a course. Continue looking at more Illinois golf bags and compare prices ...
